In order for SIDS Calgary Society to serve
the needs of SIDS parents, families, and professionals more effectively, we
are changing the monthly Peer Support Meetings to a time-requested support
meeting.
This will allow you to contact our Peer Support Coordinator through our answering service to schedule a time that works best for you. Please call our answering service at (403) 265-SIDS (7437) and ask for the Peer Support Coordinator. |
Ask a SIDS ParentWhen someone's baby dies from SIDS, it changes and affects many people's lives. We have a group of parents who have lost their baby to SIDS and are willing to answer your questions. Sometimes it is easier to write your questions down than to ask in person. Friends and family may not know how to act around or treat new SIDS baby parents. Please ask questions, talk, and be mindful of the people's feelings and their loss. Keep in mind that everyone is different and has their own unique needs. All we offer here is an opinion by various parents whose babies have died from SIDS.
